When people in Atlanta lose a family member, it can be a difficult time. However, when the life is lost to the negligent act of another person, family members are often left with many unanswered questions. These questions can include what happened, why did it happen and what do they do now? While some of these questions may find answers through careful investigation, often, some answers are never known and the family members are left behind to pick up the pieces as best as they can.
This may be the situation for one family after a fatal accident. Apparently, the victim, a man, was driving along Interstate 20 in Atlanta when he was involved in a car accident. There was no information on the initial accident itself, but the man was able to get out his vehicle. A third car, of which no description was obtained by law enforcement, then struck him. It is unknown whether he died at the scene or was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
There is an ongoing investigation but authorities do not appear to have a lot of information to go on. It is unknown whether the other driver in the original accident saw the third car, which did not stop after the impact. No information was provided as to the description of the driver of the third car either.
In many cases, the death of a family member can cause not only emotional and mental grief, but unexpected financial challenges. This is especially true if the victim was a primary breadwinner with a spouse and children. However, the law gives families the right to seek appropriate monetary compensation and it may be beneficial for them to meet with an attorney who handles such matters.
