When it comes to car accidents, there are a number of factors that victims and their families may want to take into consideration. For example, if the driver responsible for an auto accident was intoxicated, uninsured or operating their vehicle recklessly, that could have an impact on the outcome of a case if victims decide to take legal action. In Atlanta, Fulton, and throughout the whole state of Georgia, a startling number of people have been killed and hurt in auto accidents and it is important for victims of these accidents to explore all of their options.
Law enforcement officials say that a woman was injured in an auto accident that also claimed the life of her 29-year-old boyfriend. According to the mother of the woman’s boyfriend, he recently moved to Georgia looking for a fresh start and was returning to Kentucky for his child’s birthday when the accident took place.
The woman’s boyfriend, who moved to Richmond, was operating the car at the time of the accident. Authorities claim that he crashed the car in a ditch after losing control of the vehicle and was unable to survive the accident. Also, the woman was taken into custody over theft and drug charges.
After a car accident, victims may have no idea of how to deal with the incident. However, a negligent driver who is responsible for causing injuries and deaths can’t get away with his or her behavior. For some people, contacting a legal professional and filing a lawsuit is a wise decision.
