It can be easy for teenagers in Fulton County, Georgia, to believe that they are invincible. However, this attitude can become particularly troublesome when teenagers get behind the wheel of an automobile. Young drivers need to me aware that serious and even deadly consequences can follow when they act carelessly while driving a motorized vehicle. There really is no room for reckless or uninhibited behavior while operating an automobile.
Teenagers that may have been acting recklessly were involved in a car accident in Henry County, Georgia recently. Authorities received information that the high school students were racing prior to the accident. Those who witnessed the accident say the car ran off the road and into a ditch where it flipped over at around 3:30 p.m. None of the car’s occupants were wearing seatbelts and all were thrown from the vehicle.
Two students were taken to the hospital via helicopter for treatment of their injuries. They were listed in critical condition. One high school sophomore was killed in the accident. The school held a candlelight vigil in her honor where her fellow cheerleaders cheered and students mourned her death. The girl’s parents spoke and expressed thanks to the students who came to pay their respects.
This accident appears to be the result of teenagers behaving in a reckless and careless manner. The parents of the girl killed in this accident may wish to consult with a personal injury attorney to discuss their right to compensation for their daughter’s death and funeral expenses.
